Playspace Audit & Plan

Playspace Audit & Plan
Sorell Council provides a range of play opportunities for children throughout our network of 14 playgrounds located in our parks and reserves. By providing a range of playground experiences that range from small pocket playgrounds to larger local playgrounds, we aim to provide a range of play environments to meet the developmental needs of our youngest community members.
The community has undergone significant growth over the past 15 years and is forecast to experience ongoing growth at twice the state average through to 2052. We have decided to address current and potential shortfalls in play space planning by commissioning a Playspace Audit & Plan.
We have engaged One Eighty Sport & Leisure Solutions to undertake this work.
We are engaging with our community and want to hear your ideas on the best ways to improve our playgrounds, considering the play needs of you and your family, both now and into the future.
You can get involved and Have Your Say by:
- Filling out our survey
- Attending a workshop (Thursday 13 November at 11 am – Council Chambers)
- Viewing our display at a local community facility:
- Sorell Library
- The Nest
- And our posts in the following newsletters:
