Meetings & Minutes
Council meetings are conducted on the third Tuesday of every month commencing at 6:00pm. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers and are open to the public, with the exception of when an item is to be dealt with in closed meeting. The Council meeting agenda is available on Council’s website on the Thursday preceding the meeting.
Sorell Planning Authority (SPA) meetings, formally known as DASC meetings, are held on Tuesdays at 4.30pm at the Sorell Council Offices when required. This meeting will be advertised in The Mercury on the Wednesday prior to the meeting being held. The purpose of SPA meetings is for Council, as the planning authority, to determine planning applications to which delegation has not been provided. These meetings are open to the public and the agenda is available on Council’s website on the Thursday preceding the meeting. Please note: there is no public question time allocated in SPA meetings.
