Sorell Council By-Election

Following the resignation of Mayor Kerry Vincent the Tasmanian Electoral Commission ran a by-election for the position of one Councillor and Mayor.

Councillor Janet Gatehouse was successful at securing the position of Mayor and Michael Larkins of Councillor. Janet and Michael were sworn into their new positions on 24 June 2024 and will serve in their roles until the completion of the next ordinary election, due to be held in September/October 2026.
